Terms of Service

Browserbelt is a suite of Chrome extensions and a companion account service at apps.fmacedo.com, operated by Francisco Macedo (“we”). By installing an extension or subscribing, you agree to these terms. They’re written to be readable — no dark patterns.
01The extensions
Browserbelt currently comprises PixText, MarkGrab, ImageSnag, and MapMentions. Each is provided “as is.” ImageSnag is free and requires no account. The AI tools require either your own Google Gemini API key (free) or an active subscription.
02Bring-your-own-key
If you supply your own Gemini API key, your use of Google’s API is governed by your agreement with Google, and you are responsible for any charges Google bills you. We never see, store on our servers, or mark up your key or its usage.
03Subscription & terms of sale
These terms of sale apply if you subscribe:
- Price. $5/month or $39/year (USD), for one subscription covering every AI tool on the belt, including future ones.
- Seller. You buy from Francisco Macedo, not from Google or the Chrome Web Store. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the same price until you cancel.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time from your account’s billing portal. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not prorate partial periods.
- Fair use. Subscriptions include a soft cap of about 1,000 AI actions per month. Sustained use far beyond this may be rate-limited so one flat price stays viable for everyone.
- Refunds. If something isn’t right, email us — we handle refund requests reasonably and case by case.
04Acceptable use
Don’t use the tools to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or attempt to bypass the safety guardrails of the underlying AI services. Don’t resell or redistribute access to a subscription.
05Privacy
Each extension has its own privacy policy describing exactly what data it handles: PixText, MarkGrab, ImageSnag, and MapMentions.
06Warranty & liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
07Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where they affect subscribers, communicated by email.
